NO): London Records (PS 706) DATE: 1977 PRESSING: Peter Pan Pressing MASTERED: Sterling DESCRIPTION: Issued on black vinyl in standard jacket with label-branded inner sleeve. MATRIX NUMBERS: Runout side A: SAHS 1716-X PP STERLING Runout side B: SAHS 1717 PP STERLING GRADING: VG/G+ CONDITION NOTES: Vinyl has a few light blemishes and superficial streaks, nothing major ; Some light surface noise on A side but only audible between tracks ; Side B is quieter, with no major distractions and only minimal crackling during the softer parts ; overall sound quality is excellent ; Labels look fine - no excessive spindle wear ; Jacket has some water damage on bottom edge with a slight wave in the cardboard ; some rubbing along edges and corners ; old price sticker on front ; Otherwise jacket is solid - no split seams, no visible ring wear, text on spine is legible ; Branded label insert has some residual wrinkling from the water damage as well, a frayed spot, one corner creased ; one side has a split seam. SHIPPING: Record and jacket stored and ship in poly sleeves. Ships via USPS Media Mail promptly and well-protected in a cardboard record mailer with record outside of cover to prevent split seams, etc. etc. I use recycled packaging materials whenever possible. MY PROCESS: Before listing, I clean the records using a makeshift hydro system that gets all but the most stubborn specks of dust and debris from the grooves, then I wipe-dust and blow-out the jackets and inner sleeves. I play test them and examine surfaces under natural and bright incandescent light and list all visible blemishes. I use the Discogs.com database to identify pressings using matrix numbers. After photographing all components and taking close-ups of any flaws, I store records and jackets in poly sleeves. Then, if I?ve determined that the album is in sellable condition, I document everything in the listing I post to eBay. I try to follow the Goldmine Standard as best I can when grading. This is a one-person operation, and I?m a collector, too, so I try to sell from a buyer's perspective and do my best to offer a personalized service.
