Description: Pour l'Érection d'un MonumentOriginal 1873 poster soliciting support for the construction of a monument commemorating the defense of Belfort during the Franco-Prussian War. The monument (completed in 1880) was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi who would later design the Statue of Liberty. The poster was printed by Comte-Jacquet in Bar-le-Duc. Very good condition, minor blemishes of age, has been folded. ~ 17 1/2" x 11". I ship 5 days a week, so many items are shipped same day payment is received.
