Description: Note: Limited Quantity this year. I do however have plenty left in my Tasmanian, Afghan, Turkish mix also listed on ebay. Get these and any poppy seeds while you still can. This may be my last season on eBay before moving to another venue. After 24 years of selling my seeds on ebay I'm tired of fighting them to keep poppy seeds listed. Tasmanian Purple Somniferum Poppy Seeds Grown in my Garden! Huge purple blooms Always freshly harvested for current year You can't get them any fresher than this. These seeds are fresh from my garden and are what is left after giving them to my friends to "Poppylate" the world! My seeds are home grown. Don't be fooled by sellers that are buying them at the grocery store and labeling them as home grown poppies just to make a sale. There are only about 3 sellers on ebay who grow their own seeds, and I am one of them. I have been selling my seeds on ebay since 1998* Some of mine plants grow to 6' tall These poppies in are an annuals, meaning the complete their life during one season. The germinate, grow, flower, go to seed and then die all in one season. They love full sun, but can be grown in partial shade as well. The optimum planting time is in late fall after temps fall below 50. The seeds need stratification in order to germinate in the spring. If you plant in the spring, the seeds need to be stored in a cold dry place in an unheated garage or refrigerated until they are planted. Some of mine plants grow to 6' tall My seeds are home grown. All of the photos are of my current garden or from the garden at my previous house.. I do not live on a growing farm or any farm for that matter. The seeds germinate freely and will produce seeds to grow season after season. Naturally resistant to Predators. Deer proof. Germination testing on this years seeds were a complete success. The problem with this is that you will have thousands of microscopic plants that a some point should be thinned. The best way to remedy this is to mix your seeds with sand and then sprinkle on the soil like Salt. I will send 1/4 teaspoon. I'm not counting them, you can. I will include the planting instructions with every order. It is nearly impossible to count out thousands of poppy seeds. I have NO idea how some people sell 50 or 100 seeds. The generally accepted measurements are as follows: 1/8th teaspoon - 1000 seeds 1/4th teaspoon - 2000 - 2500 seeds1/2 teaspoon - 5000 seedsThe above seed count is an average for ALL poppy seeds. I am selling them by the measuring spoon method only and do not guarantee the exact number of seeds!! Shipping: NO International shipping. Sorry Buyer pays shipping for the 1st pack. Each additional pack is free. I do NOT make money on shipping! I use only padded bubble mailers with additional stuffing and send them as a parcel.Seeds are stored in Glass containers or in their pods until I ship. At that time I put them in a small plastic bag that is meant to be temporary. If they are not to be planted immediately, then remove them from the bag and store them in an airtight container in a cool dry place such as an unheated garage, or refrigerate them until planting time. NOTE: I use the plastic bags because of past complaints with the paper envelopes that just do not seal all the way. My seeds are guaranteed to be viable. They are easy to grow, however Your results could vary so I urge you to read my planting and growing guide to give you the best possible chance for success Please, If you plan to buy my seeds to re-sell, I respectfully request that you do NOT use my photos, my names, my descriptions, my backgrounds or my planting instructions to do so. It against eBay policy and will be enforced. I hate to put warnings like this and apologize, but unfortunately I have had to put this disclaimer on my auctions as several so called "seed sellers" have started doing this.
