TAMRON AF 28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 177D Zoom Lens for Minolta SLR or DSLR Camera Sony

Description: Here is a Tamron 28-80mm lens for the old Minolta Maxxum/Sony Alpha mount, with a Promaster 58mm UV filter, hood and Tamron front and rear caps, as shown. I tested the lens by mounting it to my old Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D DSLR body (not included) and taking the last two photos, hand-held, using autofocus. The two of the power pole were taken from the same location at the two extents of the zoom range. These photos are straight out of the camera with no editing or cropping. They look pretty good to me. I verified that aperture blades are quick and snappy. Zoom works well. The hood fits properly and can be mounted backwards, as shown in one of the later photos, for easy storage. I looked through the lens toward a bright LED flashlight and saw no fungus, though I saw what looked like some internal dust. This lens was designed to fit the old Minolta Maxxum mount, or the Sony Alpha mount. Be careful with Sony...they added to confusion by continuing to call their newer mirrorless cameras "Alpha" while changing the mount to something completely different. This will NOT fit the Sony mirrorless cameras without some kind of adapter. It will fit the old Minolta Maxxum 35mm film SLR bodies, the Konica Minolta DSLR bodies, and some Sony DSLR bodies (for example, the α100). Please make sure this lens is compatible with the camera you intend to use it on before buying. Please ask any remaining questions before buying.
