Description: You are looking at an Art Deco Modern era bakelite or catalin lidded box. Quite tall and substantial in weight, this box displays beautifully. It comes with a brass medallion on its lid depicting an eagle. Made in France, the eagle might be a reference to the Napoleon era of French history. The color is amber with marbling and lots of translucence. Box has a 3 1/8" diameter and stands 4 1/8" tall. Walls are 5/16" thick. Weighs 351 gr.Overall excellent condition. No chips or cracks.
