Description: This is a really top quality jug, quite a rare color combination, and was part of a family collection. It is 6 1/4" tall, 5 1/4" wide and 4 3/8" diameter at the base. It is decorated with a relief molded pattern of white convolvulous (bindweed) and teal green leaves and vine against a taupe pale khaki brown treetrunk background. The handle is a branch. There is one very small chip on the lip which I did not notice at first, otherwise no chips, cracks or crackling. Just some typical detritus in the glaze. Three very clear marks on the base, plus an impressed DBB. Deciphering the diamond mark tells us it was registered on December 19th, 1850. Please look carefully at the photographs and ask questions prior to bidding. Thank you for looking.
