SZ 17 WOOL SHIRT USMC ENLISTEDMAN marine marines US Military WWI vintage orig

Description: Unique shirt. It is ARMY style, however it is definitely USMC MUSTARD color. (NOTE: The material under the buttons is definitely U.S. Army "drab" wool. So it isn't faded material. ) I've been playing with this stuff for over 70 years. My feeling is that as the Marines wore Army uniforms, one of the manufacturers interpreted the orders as Marine Corps color wool but cut in the Army pattern. As I stated earlier..... "Unique!" I wore this shirt for many years and it is a 17. (And NO..... it ISN'T a repro!) My advise is that you DON'T try to wear it. It is getting frail. I've taken photos of any defects. The material is losing strength. It's valuable because of the size and color. Don't ruin your investment by trying it on. It's collar button is missing. All other buttons are original to shirt.
