Description: For the original purchase price (around $400) the quality of the optics of these binoculars is UNBEATABLE. They compare favorably with some of the Rolls Royces of binoculars (Leica, Swarovsky, etc.). In fact, I did a side-to-side comparison with a friend's Swarovsky and neither of us could see a significant difference in crispness and brightness - at least not enough to warrant the $1000+ price difference between the two. I can honestly say these are the best binoculars I've owned, and I have owned a Leica. With that said, the drawback for me is now becoming the weight - the term 'ultralite' is really a misnomer - these are medium sized and feel like it. The optics on this used binocular are still great, but the outer body (rubberized) shows that it has been out in the field on a few adventures (see photos). Also, comes with caps for the objective lenses but is MISSING eyepiece covers and strap.
