I do not know the age or maker of this lamp, It does measure approx 16"x9". It has an approx 14' 3" cord with a switch to operate on/off. The cord is encased with a black linked chain which it used to hang from the ceiling. It has a more modern plug. The lamp does work (see photos) I left the fluorescent bulb in that came with the lamp at the time of purchase. I would imagine changing to another type of bulb would change the ambiance. The glass itself appears purple-ish when the light is off and more of a magenta when the light is on. Color descriptions are subjective, so please see the attached photos. The glass is encased in a black metal decorative shape that is custom to the glass itself. It is memorable of retro mid-century modern design.
