Description: A stunning and rare antique Edwardian hallmarked 'STERLING SILVER' golfer golf medal that has a period golfer and FAR & SURE to the front. Uninscribed reverse. Has the makers mark as TJS for Thomas James Skelton of Vyse Street, Birmingham. He produced Medals and Vesta case from 1903-15. This was one of his earlier medals from c.1905. Measures 1 1/2" (38mm) in diam. Weighs a heavy 24.7g. In excellent condition probably from being in it's case for nearly 120 years! The original case shows some minor wear but nothing bad. A stunning, rare and highly collectable medal that displays superbly. Never seen another of this medal in 22 years collecting. A great investment! I am listing part of my personal golf collection that includes many items from my late fathers collection amassed over many years so please take a look at some wonderful antique & vintage golf items. Please read the following before bidding: Payment must be made within 4 days of auction ending. If purchasing more than one item please wait for a revised invoice as I can package/ship together and this will save you some postage costs! All items will be carefully and securely packaged and will be shipped tracked and insured. And lastly, some items shipped overseas may incur an additional Customs/Duty Tax. This has no financial gain to me and totally beyond my control. THANK YOU!!!
