Description: Up for purchase is a beautiful, very large, 131 gram, piece of rare, untreated amber from the region of West Sumatra Island, Indonesia with a deep purple (violet) blue color when natural sunlight is shining on it. The majority of this piece has been polished while the remainder is in the rough as mined. The piece weighs 131 grams (655 carats) and has an approximate length of 78 mm, a width of 63 mm and 40 mm height. NOTE: 25.4 mm is 1 inch.NOTE: All pictures were taken under natural sunlight, no color enhancements.The color varies depending upon how sunlight is striking it also.The color appears best when sunlight is shining on rather than through the piece and is due to the natural, untreated, chemical fluorescent properties of the amber.Please see my feedback.
