Description: A spectacular Guido Cacciapuoti Figurine, in excellent condition, from the workshop Ceremiche E Gres D'Arte. The figurine stands 10 1/2" high, is 11" wide at the base and 9 3/4" deep. It is entirely handpainted with very fine detail. The only flaw is a chip at the tip of the reader's gold slipper which is only visible on close inspection, please see my photos. There is something loose inside the figurine, but I've had no luck in trying to remove it. I will ship this figurine double boxed and Insured. Guido Cacciapuoti was born into a family of well known Neopolitan ceramicists in 1892. He founded his Studio, Gres Arte Cacciapuoti in Milan in 1939, where he was the artistic director and sculptor. His art deco designs were well recognized all over the world and they continue to be highly sought after. Cacciapuoti died in 1953.
