A Verzolini Majolica decorated by hand with highly glazed colours like reds / oranges/ golds at 3* fire and authenticated by the author's signature. Also refered to as Questa Maiolica and Faience. Hand made by Romulus or son, Renzo Verzolini in the 1960's 70's maybe the 80's. A rare piece and hard to come by. Made by a company called Studio Errevi located in Italy. The twin sons decided to continue the company and despite the generation gap the goal remains the same, to create objects with a unique style and to be unmistakeable in identification of a "Verzolini object. The Fathers work reached many countries such as USA, Mexico, Europe, Kenya, South Africa, Middle East, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Singapore. They follow two types of processing: 2* firings or 3* firings. They used the 3* firing for lustre, gold and platinum, such as this wonderful plate up for auction.
