The cup shape is inspired by a Farkas / "Chicago"-style mouthpiece but with a cup depth and backbore optimized for the Alexander lead pipe. The result is responsive in all registers; incredible high range, flexible slurs, great intonation and clear-but-not-harsh attacks. Oh - and an F side with the intonation and power you were told Alexanders don't have. Defaults to a size 18, also available in 16 and 20 depending on your preferred feel. Alex lead pipes are very open and use a bigger shank so these play like a 12-16 would in an American style lead pipe.
