Five music groups, spread over the English Garden at distances of 80 to 100 meters, sang and played the piece, "Staroonstellations"(e.g. "Big Dippers"). Stockhausen's composition, which had its premiere in the Berlin Tiergarten last June, lasted three hours and, according to the Maestro, could only be performed at night in Keystone West Germany."
