Description: Well used 044. Saw was traded into my shop as you see it. I have gone through it and cleaned, inspected and tested everything. The tank/handle was replaced with one from an 046 so the filter cover doesn’t fit perfectly. The top cover has the clutch side mounting hole broken so it isn’t secured down on that side. The piston and cylinder are newer style OEM from an ms440 with the Decomp hole. It has been plugged properly to accommodate the flat top cover. Saw starts easy and runs well. Oils like it should. I have tried to identify and call out any imperfections this saw may have there may be more than I have listed in the description so please look at photos closely. This is not a shelf queen saw it is a runner and should be purchased as such. One of the best saws Stihl ever made, might as well enjoy using it. I do not accept returns due to parts swappers and scammers. I take very careful notes and photos of every saw I sell.
