Description: Offered is this vintage "Royal De Luxe" homburg hat, part of "The Gun Club" line, made by the John B. Stetson Co. The size 6 7/8 hat has a black surface that feels like velvet, a black ribbon and a small feather tucked into the band. In addition to the Stetson logo in gold on the inside it is also marked "Frierson-McEver Co. Men's Wear Gainesville, Georgia", also in gold. I don't know how old the hat is but I did find a 1949 photo of the Gainesville store; the accompanying text stated the store had been in business since 1926. It no longer seems to be in operation. The hat is in very good condition. I see no damage and it looks clean both inside and out. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
