Description: Exquisite sterling silver hand mirror made by La Pierre Manufacturing Company in the 1920's. Classic Art Deco styling. Clearly hallmarked immediately below the mirror with La Pierre's hallmark (looks like British pound symbol £) and the word "sterling". The mirror is beveled. No monogram. La Pierre was an American silversmith that operated between the years of 1888 and 1929. The firm was based in Newark, New Jersey.My apologies for silver polish residue on some photos. Sometimes I don't see the lavender residue until I look at the photos -- It will be washed off prior to delivery. Dimensions: 12.5" long x 4.25" wide x 3/8" deep. Handle is approx. 6" long. Condition: Good condition. Mirror image substantially clean and free of fogging / erosion, but a few black spots evident upon close inspection. Side rim left of mirror has 1.5" flat spot (as seen in last photo). Rest of mirror's edges are free from bashes and dents. Considering softness of silver and age, these side dings are average compared to most. I count 6 pings / dimples on top exterior surface. Pattern still crisp, without holes from polishing high spots. Recent thorough hand polish. Unpacked weight: 11.1 ounces (avoirdupois, not troy). Silver weight cannot be accurately determined since non-silver parts cannot be separated from silver content. Total weight is 316 grams. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping. I only charge actual postage, and always use recycled packing materials.
