The engine turned holder was made by the celebrated silversmith William Neale & Son Ltd. and hallmarked to the Year 1945 (End of WW 2).Lightly matte gilded to the hinged case and lid the holder is in fine condition with a good snap closure. Dimensions: Weight: 32.7 grams. Marks: Stamped to the inside 'tray' with the hallmark comprising of the Lion Passant, Birmingham Anchor and the Date Letter 'V' for the Year 1945. Alongside within a shield is the silversmith's mark 'W N' over 'LTD' for William Neale & Son Ltd. Condition: Excellent. No damage, repair or restoration.
