Description: This was my grandmother’s and is from the 1930’s. The monogram is LGS The piece itself is beautiful and all hardware is fine, but I personally wouldn’t feel safe filling it with loose powder because the seal doesn’t seem air tight. If when clicked closed, you press on one side or the other, the lid can move from it's flush position. I don't know if when placing a powder puff inside, that would be corrected? I show this in photos #5 &. It does click shut and is in working condition with great mirror, I just don’t feel the seal is as tight as it should be.
