He pursued a successful career as a scientist and faculty member at three Canadian universities and served as Dean of Science at the University of Prince Edward Island from 1997-2006. Author of approximately 60 scientific publications, Roger has also received awards in three annual competitions sponsored by the Prince Edward Island Writers Guild for his literary compositions. He is now retired from academia and lives with his wife, Alison, and his family on Prince Edward Island.
