Bush-Fekete, Sidney Sheldon and Mary Helen Fay play opened in NYC under the title ALICE IN ARMS on 01/31/45 and ran for only 5 performances. The front features a photo of Peggy Conklin, some cast and production credits, performance schedule, opening date of 01/08 (which was changed to 01/15) and theatre credit. The back contains a synopsis and cast list. The cast includes Peggy Conklin, Kirk Douglas (Broadway debut), Roger Clark, William Lynn, Florence Shirley, G. Albert Smith, William Carroll, Tom McElhany, Judith Abbott, Darthy Hinkley, Richard Coogan, George Ives, Mickey Stewart and Frederick Tillinghast. Directed by Joseph Calleia (replaced during the tryout by Jack Daniels). This is NOT a reproduction!! Heralds are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs. Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches. Brochure style heralds can be one sheet or multi folds and measure about 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Condition is near excellent with minor wear. International purchases are subject to a $2.00 handling fee. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
