[isdntekvideo] This is a stained-glass kaleidoscope made by award-winning scope maker, Nedra Reed. This scope is a kevel spinner kaleidoscope that spins on a horizontal plane. The sculptured wheel on the end creates the images within the scope, when the wheel is turned horizontally. The scope is about 6.5 long and the sides are about an inch high. There is a magnifier in the eye piece to create great images!! This scope has a "Dragonflies and Butterflies" theme. It is made from a beautiful purple iridized glass. Iridized glass has a reflective sheen with a rainbow cast. On one side is brass wire and a fused glass dragonfly. On the other is brass wire and a pottery butterfly. All the fused glass and pottery were made by this artist in her kiln and then incorporated into this one-of-a-kind scope. The wheel on the end had a brass dragonfly, a pewter butterfly, and a blue glass butterfly. The last six pictures are actual views through the scope.
