Description: Staffordshire Transferware "Verona" Serving Bowl / Soup Bowl - 10" Wide - ca: 1822 / 1840 The photos tell all there is to be said. The "Verona" back-stamp is from George Phillips,Earthenware manufacturer at Longport, Burslem, Staffordshire as Edward & George Phillips from 1822 to 1834, and then George Phillips 1834-1848. The bowl, now likely near two hundred years of age is in absolutely PERFECT condition. "Verona" back-stamp and an impressed back stamp which is unreadable. This is from a fabulous collection of early English pottery from which we have been lucky to acquire quite a few wonderful pieces.
