Description: Beautiful painted resin statue or figurine of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina (1887 - 1968). St. Padre Pio was an Italian Capuchin friar, priest, stigmatist, and mystic. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and his feast day is celebrated on September 23rd. The statue is approximately 9 3/4" tall and 2 7/8” wide at the base. The statue is signed, but the name isn’t clear (please see photos). The front of the base is marked “PADRE PIO.” The age of the statue is unknown, but it is probably contemporary. The manufacturer of the statue is unknown, but it may have been made in Italy. Estate sale find. A beautiful and inspirational statue of St. Padre Pio! The resin statue appears to be in excellent used condition with perhaps some minor scratches, scrapes, abrasions, nicks, indentations, pits, spots, stray marks, rub marks, discoloration, perhaps some light wear along the edges, corners, and raised areas, and the outline and residue of stickers and tape that were on the underside of the base. Some of the blemishes may be a result of the manufacturing, molding, and/or painting processes. Please review photos carefully, as they constitute part of the description. Item is offered “as is.” Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like additional photos. Thank you for your interest in this item.
