Description: St Catherine of Genoa Single Decade Rosary Beautiful circular style single decade rosary which has a 1" tall silver-toned centerpiece with a full-color image of St Catherine of Genoa on the front and a blank back. The Centerpiece was handmade in Canada. The 1-3/4" silver-toned San Damiano crucifix was made in Italy and has one half of the Prayer of Peace by St Francis of Assisi on the back, in English. (We include a card with the full prayer plus info on the crucifix.) The chaplet itself was handmade by me in our home in the USA.The chaplet has fifteen 8 mm genuine Czech glass pearl beads. The 13 Hail Mary beads are purple and the a Raspberry pink color. About 10" long, comes gift boxed and St Catherine of Genoa prayer card, plus a How to Pray the Rosary pamphlet, carry pouch, Divine Mercy pamphlet, 15 Promises of Mary card, San Damiano crucifix/Prayer of Peace card, St Francis prayer card and a gift bag and tissue paper.St Catherine of Genoa was a 15th century mystic. She wanted to become a nun, but followed her parent's wishes and married a young man who turned out to be pretty unpleasant - unfaithful and with a violent temper. Thanks for his wife's prayers, although he made her life a misery, he died penitent. St Catherine spent much time taking care of the sick at the Great Hospital of Genoa and eventually became its treasurer and manager. She wrote of her mystical experiences and had a great devotion to the Holy Souls. The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
