Description: Photo ID of a Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU),issued on 13 May 1974 to Lyubov Selezneva. The ID shows that she was born in 1936 and joined the CPSU in 1965. When the ID was issued, she resided in the city of Zaporozhye in Ukraine (now known by its Ukrainian name Zaporizhzhya). The document is of very high quality. The rubberized red cover has the Marxist slogan “Working People of All Countries, Unite!” near the upper edge. The inscription in the middle portion is “Communist Party of the Soviet Union”. The bottom shows the abbreviation TsK KPSS, i.e. Central Committee of the CPSU, the central authority which authorized issuance of each and every CPSU membership ID. Each of the internal pages is printed on watermarked paper; the first two have ink stamps of the local district committee of the CPSU and a typographically printed serial number 11833116. The following pages show monthly due payments ending in 1989. The ID is in excellent condition. The cover shows practically no wear, its red color is still vibrant and fresh.
