Description: Soviet Army Air Force Named Visor Cap Uniform Jacket Set w/ Badges 50-4 A Soviet Air Force service uniform set consisting of an enlisted visor cap and a service jacket with several badges. Both pieces are named and solid examples. The cap is labeled as a size 57 but should fit a 58, while the jacket is 50-4, about a medium size, and dated 1977. The jacket has multiple badges, including an excellency badge, a 30 jumps parachute badge, and a Komsomol badge. The shoulder rank is for a junior sergeant, with red borders added on by the soldier. There are also two service stripes alongside the standard air force patch. Both items are in excellent condition with no blemishes or mothing, and the jacket has a largely clean interior lining. The jacket is named to “Grichukh” with a stamp indicating manufacture in Gorky. Two pieces of what appears to be gauze were found in the pocket and will be included. The visor cap is named to “Kirichenko”. Soviet Air Force uniforms are definitely more uncommon, and all in all this is a really good display set for either a Soviet or Cold War collection where the looks of an air force uniform will shine through.
