Description: This is a luxury collector's edition of Margaret Mitchell's classic novel, Gone with the Wind. This beautiful leather-bound printing of the original 1936 text was published by Southern Classics Library in 1984. The cover is genuine leather with gilt lettering and decorative design, and raised bands on the spine. The book has marbled interior end papers, an attached burgundy satin ribbon, and gilt page edging. It has 1037 pages and a frontispiece of the author. The book is in excellent, like new condition. It has no previous owner's names, attached book plates, or marks. Included is an unattached book plate with registry number, as well as a letter from the Southern Classics company. It is truly one of the most beautiful presentations of this Southern classic. In a manufacturing mishap, the book has 32 pages (5 chapters near the end of the book) that are printed on differently colored paper (more yellow while the rest are more white) than the rest of the book... note the darker line on the page edges in the 2nd photo.
