Description: SOUTH PACIFIC, Souvenir Program, Philharmonic Hall, Los Angeles, CA, 1957. The musical opened in NYC on 04/07/49 and ran for 1925 performances. This Los Angeles Civic Light Opera Association 20th Anniversary production opened in San Francisco, CA on 06/03/57 and ran through 07/06/57 before moving to LA and opening on 07/08/57 and running through 08/10/57. Inside are costumed photos, bios, synopsis, Jo Mielziner set designs, Dorothy Jeakins costume sketches, full cast and production list, musical numbers list, scene synopsis and photo highlights of the LACLO procuction history. The cast includes Mary Martin, Giorgio Tozzi, Myron McCormick, Herbert Banke, Dorothy Franklin, Martin Wolfson, Barbara Luna, Earl MacVeigh, Zachary Charles, John Erman, Bob Vanselow, Bruce Yarnell, Wayne Tucker, Virginia Ann Lee and Denis Bonilla. Music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein and book by Oscar Hammerstein and Joshua Logan (adapted from Tales Of The South Pacific by James A. Michener). Produced by Edwin Lester in association with Richard Halliday. Staged by Albert Marre and choreographed by Aida Broadbent. The program is complete. This is NOT a reproduction!!
