With just 6 snake guides on a 9ft rod, this certainly wasn't SB's very best, but then, unless companies like H-I and Montague, SB never built any real dogs. The r.od has been beautifully restored, as you can see. The period sock, which conveniently holds the piece, has the monogram "WJB" (??) The rod will be shipped in this sock and a PVC tube.
