Description: Extreamly rare bag, I cannot find another like it. Soure produced a number of these clear vinyl-covered bags (sometimes called "under glass" in the old ads) in a variety of patterns in the 1950s-1960s. You see some Soure motifs more frequently than others, so my guess would be that this bag had a limited run, possibly because they only had a small amount of the fabric--or maybe because the subject matter wasn't as popular as, for instance, the more typical butterflies or flowers. There is some staining on the bag, and on the corners where the metal close meets the fabric, the “Glass” part of the bag has some tearing, I’m guessing from age. There is some stitching missing on the handle of the bag but could easily be repaired. Comes as is.
