Sony XDR-F1HD AM/FM Digital HD Tuner Radio + Remote + Sony box

Description: Thanks for all the watchers. I'll drop it a few bucks every few days - so jump in when you are comfy with the price. If you love local digital HD radio like I do, then listening in the car is not sufficient. You need an HD radio tuner with your stereo. This Tuner is NOT standalone. It does not have a headphone jack. You connect it to your amplifier or non-HD receiver using RCA cables, and voila, you get extra stations. In the pictures, you'll see 105.9#1 and 105.9#2 tuned in. Here in Nashville TN, this receiver brings in WPLN classical station, which is not available on a traditional analog FM receiver. Unfortunately, manufacturers have created few affordable options for HD radio in the home. I spent $1000 each for two Outlaw Audio Receivers with HD Radio built in. They're awesome, but their sound for HD radio is honestly not better than what this Sony delivered. I just don't use the Sony - so I'm selling it. The manuals for the unit are at Sony:manuals I tested the remote and buttons. The unit seems to be responding to every button along the top of the chassis, as well as every button on the remote - signs of very good condition over all. I appreciate the great questions from connoisseurs of electronics and HD radio! I sort of see _maybe_ slight smudges on the case - but so far they seem to wipe off easily. I can find no obvious scratches. As you've requested, I made photos of the circuit board inside. It's easy to do (unplug, remove 5 screws from bottom, lift off top). As the bottom photo shows, the four feet seem fine to my eye. To my eye, nothing looks worn or blown on the circuit board, in the capacitors, the transform - all look good. I was also asked if presets worked. Yes - to test: I held down the ENTER button on the unit as suggested in the manual. After a few seconds it flashed. I selected the preset. Enter and saved. I powered off. Still there. I unplugged. Station was still there. So, presets do seem tow work. The production run finished in 2008 - so I have to imagine the unit was manufactured some time around there. It definitely has a "solid feel" much more so than stuff manufactured lately. I should note that the channel scanning and HD lock can feel a little slower than my 2022 $1000 Outlaw audio receiver. But the HD lock comes acceptably fast nonetheless, and the Sony allows you to create presets to speed that along. I just researched my email archives - and this unit does NOT seem to have any special capacitor modifications from xdrguy as I originally described. I will be adding a circuit board photo later today. Ships in the original Sony Box - though some of the lost original padding will be replaced by bubble wrap and so. I cannot accept returns. It as as I describe it. I appreciate the inquiries from all over the planet, but if you don't have USA style HD Radio, don't be surprised if it does not work for you!
