Sony PlayStation 3 A01 1.31 FIRMWARE 1TB Upgrade Working Repaired Clean

Description: Currently waiting for parts, but the NEC tokins will receive silicone thermal pads to help with heat dispersion to the shield and heat sink and increase longevity, and a minor trace scratch covered with solder mask, to add to the value. I won't ship it out if it is purchased before this is done. This Sony PlayStation 3 model CECH-A01 is in like new condition internally. When I opened the console expecting there to be heavy dust to clean I was surprised by how spotless it is, shown in the photos. The issue with this console when I pulled it from my for parts lot was that it wasn't showing video. A simple video output reset fixed the issue, revealing the version 1.31. seeing the internals of the console and that the warranty sticker was still in place shows this console was basically unused. Because of this, my asking price is firm, as this console will likely last longer than most others and has a very rare firmware version. The clock battery was replaced. The rsx and the cell processor were delidded and thermal paste changed on both sides, and disc drive relubricated. A 1TB HDD has been placed inside the console, and a 3D printed card slot cover has been placed as the console did not have the cover. A 3D printed CPU mod has been added to help the CPU make better contact with the heatsink. The outside of the console has scratches, but no cracks or missing pieces. It has been tested and is fully functional. The original 60 GB HDD will be included, however I did have to drill out the screws on one of the sides as they were screwed in so tight that even with the proper sized screwdriver they had stripped and I was unable to remove them even with my pliers. No controller will be included, as the controllers I have are barely functional and the batteries are dead. Used PS3 controllers are luckily pretty cheap to get. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE. ITEM FUNCTIONS AS INTENDED! I do not want to receive back a hollowed out console. But you will have lifetime support from me if this item is purchased, and you can send it back (at the cost of shipping) for any repairs or cleaning that needs done.
