Being a rather small manufacturer, Somec did not produce many bicycles, especially in the beginnings. Besides perfect craftsmanship they became famous in the 1980s for the use of advanced tubings, lugs and their special paintjobs. The Air was the top of the line for Somec from the mid 70s extending into the 80s with the release of the Air 2001 and 2001 Prestige. Hand made by SOMECs premiere artisan builders, this frame is made of light double butted Columbus SL steel with SOMECs signature flare for beautifully ornate lugs and dressed head to heals in the legendary Campagnolo Super Record gruppo with 3TTT stem and bars combo.
