Description: Good Evening, What I am listing tonight Is a unique set of two autographed photos relating to the B29 "Some Punkins" of the 393rd Bomb Squadron, 509th Composite Group. The B29 "Some Punkins" was one of 15, B29's especially built to carry and drop an Atomic Bomb. The photographs have been autographed, handsigned on the photos by James Price, Airplane Commander, Tom Costa, Bombardier, Clyde Bysom,Tailgunner, and one has been autographed with Edward Josefiak, A& E Mechanic. The color photo Is 8 x 11 the Crew photo Is 8 x 10 With the photos you will receive a copy (not the originals) of a 2 page 8 x 10 typewritten letter from Mr. Bysom talking about life In the 509th, copies of Airplane Commander Jim Price's Combat Records for July and August, and letter from Tom Costa about their missions These are chemically reproduced photograph, reproduced years ago from negatives or Kodachrome slides that I own. This Is a very limited offering. Many 509th plane photos originated from my collection. The Price Crew flew five (5) combat Missions over Japan, each time carrying a 10,000 'Fatman" bomb loaded with high explosive (torpex) On August 14th they possibly dropped the last bomb on Japan before Japan surrendered. These are not scans, reprints, or forgeries, the autographs are original and hand signed on the photos you will also receive a page from our book "The 509th Remembered" the historical data on the plane and crew. copies of our book are available on our site with the same name as our book, or amazon.
