Description: This listing is for an increasingly difficult to find Bozak Speaker Badge in the style of Rudy Bozak's signature. It's hard to believe that 60 years have passed since production of these ended, but it's true. Scarcity of originals was the impetus behind having this bespoke solid brass badge handcrafted here in Maine by a skilled metallurgist with 55 years of experience. An original was utilized in the "lost wax" casting process assuring an identical reproduction of this distinct and coveted Bozak Badge. Several more were cast than I foresee needing, so to help with the significant cost of tooling I am offering some for purchase. I have owned Bozak speakers since 1968 and the endeavour of having these badges reproduced was undertaken to fill a need for several Bozak speakers which I am in the process of restoring. In addition to completing those, it is hoped that some fellow Bozak aficionados can benefit from this effort. Yes, it is a somewhat expensive badge. The price is based upon the extensive labor and technical processes involved in producing it. IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ: While badge measurements are identical to the original, the wood panel behind your speaker cloth where the badge mounts is subject to slight dimensional changes corresponding to temperature and humidity. Therefore, a certain amount of care must be exercised to protect your investment during installation. This may require cleaning out the existing holes with a drill bit, lubricating the badge's mounting posts or sparingly applying a general purpose adhesive. If you are not completely confident in your ability to successfully finesse the new badge into place, please have it installed by someone who can. Under no circumstances will a refund be issued for a badge which has been broken as they are robust and damage is entirely avoidable. The listing price is for one badge. Should more than one be purchased any excess shipping cost within the U.S. will be refunded. If the buyer's address is outside of the U.S., the customs paperwork and shipping will be handled by eBay's Global Shipping Program where I send the item to an eBay distribution center and they ship it to the international buyer. I have no control over that service, what they might charge, or the customs paperwork. I have heard in certain circumstances that it can be expensive.
