Description: Here is a very nice botryoidal formation of Smithsonite, with it's typical silky luster. The specimen is a very light pink, but only ever so slightly. A very nice and esthetic piece from the el Refugio mine, likely mined in the early 70's. This specimen is 105 grams in weight or 3 3/4 oz. Haven't measured the piece somehow when I made the photo's, so please look at the photo's for scale. Somewhere between 2, maybe 3 inch at the longest point.
