The exterior has a couple light draglines and scrapes. The hinges are intact and the top opens and closes smoothly. The latch is functional. Both the latch and hinges have turned a darker patina color. Most of the wood finish is intact, some has worn thin towards the back of the top. The interior has a piece of foam on the top lid with blue flocking. It has dried out and started to crack. Several pieces have fallen off and rest on the bottom while some areas have light cracks and are brittle to the touch. The bottom piece is a plastic form fitted mold for a 4" barrel revolver with a Target grip. There is a little tool compartment with a lid. The flocking has started to wear off the lid. There are no chips or cracks in the plastic mold. The blue finish on the plastic is intact. Included with this box is a cleaning rod, screwdriver, brush, jag and mop. The brush looks slightly used and the mop is dirty with flocking on it. The other tools are in good condition. This is a vintage wooden display box and tools that will be perfect for your favorite S&W revolver. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
