The exterior has a couple light draglines, scrapes and scratches. The hinges are intact and the top opens and closes smoothly. The latch is functional. The finish on both the latch and hinges have started to change to a darker gold patina color. The wood stain finish remains intact. The interior has a piece of foam on the top with flocking. The flocking has started to crack and fall apart. There are no rips and tears in the foam, but at some point the foam shifted and has been flattened on one side from the lid being closed on it. We did not want to take a chance of ripping it by moving it so we left it as is. The bottom piece is a plastic form fitted mold for a 5" barrel revolver with a Target grip. There is a little tool compartment with a lid. The flocking has started to wear off the tool lid and the plastic mold. There are no chips, cracks or compressions in the plastic mold. The blue finish on the plastic is intact. Smith & Wesson tools are NOT included with this box. This is a vintage wooden display box that will be perfect for your favorite S&W revolver.
