Uses 1 AA battery (not included). Clock measures approximately 8.5" diameter overall. Has wall hanger on back. IMPORTANT: It has come to my attention that some clocks may have a small issue with the battery holder. All clocks are tested thoroughly for correct function before shipping, but in a small number of cases, inserting the battery completely into the holder doesn't work. If the clock does not seem to be working, pull out the positive (button) end of the battery slightly. This will not affect wall hanging.
