(pgs. 65 / 337 / 457) A true story, the book tells of Fitzpatrick's travels with his dog, Jock, during the 1880s, when he worked as a storeman, prospector's assistant, journalist and ox-wagon transport-rider in the Bushveld region of the Transvaal (then the South African Republic). This is why the Price is fixed as listed. With gilt vignette to front, In fair condition. Rubbed on edges, corners are bumped and turned under on the top and the bottom of the spine. Corners slightly bumped. Moderate foxing to edges and toning to most pages. Frontis a little rubbed on edges, faint mark & light corner crease, tissue guard is very good A few other moderate handling marks.
