It’s also #18 in the collection. Here’s the introduction found inside the cookbook: Everyone loves fresh homemade dessert, but no one wants to spend time in the kitchen with less-than-perfect results! That is why we test Gold Medal flour recipes in our kitchens to assure satisfactory results in yours. When we develop recipes, we use various brands of ingredients, both gas and electric ovens and different types of pans to compensate for what you have in your home. After the recipes are developed, the magazine editors evaluate the recipes at a taste panel. The recipes are evaluated for taste, texture, ease of preparation, appearance and consumer appeal. The cookbook is in acceptable condition. There’s a medium-sized black marker mark, near the upper right hand corner. The front of the cover shows light staining. The corners show light scuffing. There’s light scuffing along the top, bottom, and right side edges. There’s a tiny tear, in the lower right hand corner. There’s a medium-sized, light crease mark, in the upper and lower left hand corners. There’s a small, light crease mark, near both of these corners. There’s a small, light crease mark, in the upper and lower right hand corners. There’s a medium-sized, light crease mark, near the upper right hand corner, as well. There are a few small, light crease marks, along the right side edge. There are a couple of large, light crease marks, near the bottom edge. There are a few various-sized, light crease and scratch marks, throughout (these are hardly noticeable). There are a few small scuff marks, located near the left side edge. There are a few small marks near the lower left hand corner (these are little pin-sized indentation marks, they aren’t holes because they aren’t punctured all the way through, however they do show through to the inside of the front cover and the first 16 pages.) The tiny tear and crease marks I have described, show through to the inside of the front cover. There’s a heavier amount of scuffing and a medium amount of creasing, along the spine. Due to this scuffing, there are a few small tears along the spine, as well (this includes one at the top and bottom). However, the binding remains tight. The back of the cover shows light staining. The corners show light scuffing, except for the upper right hand corner, which shows a medium amount of scuffing. There’s light scuffing along the top, bottom, and left side edges. There’s a tiny tear in the upper right hand corner and near the lower right hand corner. There’s a small, light crease mark, in each corner. There’s a large, light crease mark near the lower left hand corner and a medium-sized, light crease mark, near the upper right hand corner, as well. There are a few small, light crease marks, along the top, bottom, and left side edges. There are a couple of large, light crease marks, near the left side edge, as well. There are a few various-sized, light crease and scratch marks, throughout (these are hardly noticeable). All the pagesof the lower right hand, on page 95 (shows through to page 96). However, these pages are both index pages and do not have recipes on them. This cut also doesn’t affect the legibility of these two pages in any way (it looks like this may have been where a coupon or box top label may have originally been). Pages 69-74 have a tiny to small-sized tear in them, located along either the right or left side edge. Some of the pages show light chipping along an edge, or two. Some of the pages have a small, light crease mark or two, here or there (most of these are located near a corner). A few of the pages have a few large crease marks on them (most of these are light and located near a corner). All the pages are fully legible. Yes, the cookbook does show some flaws. However, if you don’t mind the wear I have described, above, I think you will find many enjoyable recipes in this cookbook. As the weather gets warmer, we are heading outside to grill, gather at family and friend’s get-togethers, going on picnics, etc. There’s nothing better than a cool dessert to top off the day’s events. The kids will love the “Watermelon Slices” recipe, the adults will enjoy “Toasted Hazelnut Cake With White Chocolate Glaze” and everyone can sink their sweet tooth into the “Banana Split Ice-Cream Pie” and “Nifty 50s Malted Milk Ice-Cream Cone Cakes.” So, enjoy your summer and chill out with one of these sweet treats!
