Description: A fabulous, rare piece of trade advertising for Simonds Saw, this one set in a snowy forest with two Canadian lumberjacks demonstrating the effectiveness of a Crescent Cross-Cut Saw. Stamped at the bottom center, "Caverhill, Learmont & Co., Agents, Montreal, Canada". Piece is matted and framed in a simple stained oak frame. It is not archivally framed (I see corrugated cardboard behind the kraft paper backing paper but I don't detect any staining or foxing of the ad. The colors are gorgeous and the composition is very engaging. One of two antique Simonds Saw cardboard advertising trade sign from the same period, this one is not dated, the other is dated 12/26/1882. The last two photos show what similarly-sized pieces have realized (and my other listing is identical to the two examples shown in the screenshots). Rest assured, I always pack with care to assure the safe arrival of your treasures. Please check my feedback and my longevity selling through eBay and bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck.
