Description: Double-Sided WOLF Medallion Pendant / Talisman This large double-sided medallion pendant pays homage to Wolves and all they symbolized and represented in ancient times. The wolf played a major role in the mythology and folklore of many cultures, and was both feared and revered. The old Slavs believed the wolf to be associated with protection rituals and ancestor worship, and considered them a way to bridge the gap of this world and the next. This medallion emodies that respect owed to the wolf, with high quality and great artistic detailing. The inscription on the back of the pendant reads: "My brothers will recognize me, and we will praise Dazhbog, father of us all, the wolves!" Dazhbog (or Dazbog) was one of the major gods of Slavic culture, with significant evidence of worship having been discovered in all slavic nations. This quality pendant is made of silvered Bronze, which has a silver appearance, and measures about 5 cm (or 1.9 inches in diameter). A genuine leather neck cord is included.
