Description: Rare "Ashihara Architect and Associates the 25th Anniversary" two volume book set. Two sleek, tall paperbacks housed in a paper folder-like case. The names of the projects are in English; the rest of the text is in Japanese. The second volume, "1976-1981", is inscribed and signed to someone by Yoshinobu Ashihara himself (see photos). In good condition. The paper case shows wear; the closure pieces of the case are creased and torn at sides / with damage on both sides, prohibiting it from shutting perfectly (see final photo). The rear side of the case is smudged in several places and with scuff marks, rub marks, light soiling. The books are very nice; the '1956-1976' volume has a light white scratch on rear cover and some fading and blemishing across the edges. Light toning to interiors of books and case.
