Super-rare 2010 Pebble Beach Concours Retroauto poster, signed by artist Tim Layzell and featuring his depiction of the first and last Jaguars to have raced in the historical Pebble Beach Road Races. SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS BELOW. The 2010 Retroauto poster celebrates the Jaguar marque and the famed Pebble Beach Road Races. The cars are Phil Hill's black XK 120, in which the legendary driver won the Pebble Beach Cup on November 4, 1950, marking Jaguar's first U.S. race win. The D-Type (XKD528), belonging to West Coast Jaguar distributor, Charles Hornburg, was driven by Pearce Woods in the 1956 races. With his deep background in portraying races, race cars, and drivers from the 1930s to 1970s, Layzell was perfectly suited to this artistic assignment. Layzell signed this piece in Sharpee on the road ahead of the leading Jaguar. Poster measures 17 3/4" x 26.75" (45.5 x 68.5cm). Poster is brand new, in beautiful condition.
