Description: Hey Cabbie, by Thaddeus Logan, ex-vice cop turned Baltimore taxi driver, edited by Marion Bonaparte and Jack Dawson. Hardcover book with dust jacket, first published by Logan Enterprises Publishing Company in 1983, ISBN: 0961371811, printed in the United States. This copy is a bit confusing as it indicates "Second Edition" on the dust jacket spine, "First Edition" on the book spine, and "Second Edition" on the copyright page. I believe this may be a (revised?) second printing of Volume I in 1984. The author wrote a sequel to the book titled "Hey Cabbie II" many years later. The writing features a Baltimore cabbie, his fares and the city he serves. Fascinating and genuine human interest stories through the eyes of a perceptive cabbie. The book has been SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author on the front pastedown (inside of front cover), personalized to "Penny", dated 7/27/85. The original price of $11.95 remains intact at the top of the inner dust jacket flap. The book measures approximately 9 1/4" by 6" by 1" thick, 165 numbered pages. I consider this scarce book to be in overall Good to Very Good pre-owned vintage condition, and the dust jacket in Acceptable pre-owned vintage condition, with the following noted flaws: there is slight dinginess along the text block edges; the binding has shifted, leaving the cover slightly lifted; the dust jacket has substantial wear including mild surface indentations/abrasions, creasing and open and closed tears along the edges, with mild age-toning.
