SIZE: This exceptionally impressive painting measures approx 59 cms in height by 43.5 cms in width measured to the inside edge of the frame. The frame itself measures 70.5 cms x 55.5 cms. MARKS: This painting is beautifully signed to the lower left "H Guth". THE ARTIST: Henk Gerrit Guth (1921-2003) was born in Holland, and arrived in Australia in 1961. He studied at the Arnhem (Holland) academy of arts (1938-1941). Henk settled in Central Australia, opening a gallery in Alice Springs. He became well known and very popular for his colourful, richly textured outback scenes. This fine example would make a superb addition to any Henk Guth or Australian Landscape painting collection!
