Appears to be a preliminary illustration for David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Pencilled '1st TP' to the lower left hand corner, so possibly to be used as a title page or a test pressing or test proof?. Overall size of 27 x 34cm with the border. Undated, though from around the 1920s at a guess. Light toning, but generally in Vg condition. Edward Frank Gillett (23 July 1874 – 1 May 1927), often credited as Frank Gillett, was a British artist and illustrator. He worked in pen and ink, pastel, watercolour, and oil.
